Day 51 of 84: Itch, Itch, Scratch, Scratch, PEEL….
Today was my first REAL HIIT session with sprinting(REALLY HARD RUNNING) since I got my terrible sunburn last Wednesday. I got about 15 minutes in and was itching SO BAD everywhere I actually had to stop. DAMMIT!! I thought I had worked past this point WEEKS ago. I don’t know if the itching is due to the peeling that is happening or if it’s circulation related. I’m thinking it’s a little of both.
(When I got home and undressed to shower there were MORE blisters ALL OVER me where the sweat had formed bubbles under the peeling skin..YUCK.)
I literally feel like an iguana right now. My skin is peeling off in SHEETS on my stomach and breasts and legs and butt. It’s really gross. I can’t wait until this part is over. The itching is INTENSE, and no amount of lotions or potions stops it. *sigh*
I’m kind of hitting a wall again energy wise the last couple of days. Not sure if it’s menstrual related..(I’m having a LONG cycle this month.)
After stopping my HIIT prematurely this morning I hopped on the recumbent bike and rode for an extra 15 minutes for about two and a half miles. It was actually enjoyable and my feet didn’t hurt at all like when I run or use the eliptical. Yay for less pain.
I’m thinking I may add a session of intervals on the bike in this week just to change things up a little.
I found some bagels at the grocery store yesterday that literally made me want to turn cartwheels in the aisles. I haven’t had a bagel in almost two months. I LOVE Bagels. I found some that have really good nutrition stats and would be great with some scrambled egg whites and turkey bacon on them.
They are made by Nature’s Grain, they are called Carb Check and the stats are as follows:
One bagel contains:
150 calories, 3.5 grams of fat, 36 grams of carbs, 19 grams of fiber, 2 grams of sugar, and 14 grams of protein. I would balance out the carbs with some egg whites and a slice of 2 % cheese and some turkey bacon for an excellent breakfast sandwich!
I’m planning on trying one tomorrow morning after my workout. I’ll let you know how they are.

Have you tried pure aloe vera: Either buy a plant, peel a branch and rub the juice all over your body, or go to GNC or somewhere and find the purest Aloe Vera GEL that you can find (least fillers), and rub it generously. Should have suggested this sooner. It heals burns. Probably it is not to late for some relief to your skin from the aloe. Etana
