Day 20 of 84: Run…Run…Run..
Today was my last workout for the week.(Thank GOD) I have done the Podrunner Interval Training for week one of C25K 3 days in a row. For someone who is NEW to running this is a pretty big deal.
I woke up pretty sore in my arms this morning from yesterday’s Upper Body Workout. Especially in my triceps and biceps. My arms were literally trembling carrying my coffee from the kitchen to the couch to watch the news this morning.
I made the cheesecake last night. I have to say I wasn’t really that impressed with it. It had NO sweetness to it at all and the top of it was kinda rubbery from being baked. Hmm. Not quite what I was expecting..(or dreaming about all day)
I’m planning on sitting down later on today and planning my workouts for next week and most of my meals. Then I will do grocery shopping tomorrow and precook all of my chicken and brown rice for the week.
My eating this week hasn’t been stellar. With it being that TOM, and tired and cranky some days I didn’t get all six meals in…shoot I was lucky if I got 4 meals some days. I’m really going to try to do better on that this week, hence all the planning and precooking.
I’m still debating whether I will take my free day tomorrow or not. Since my eating hasn’t been that great this week I think it would be best to stick with the plan but there’s a part of me that wants a Whopper really bad..LOL. Or at least a Route 44 Cherry Limeade from Sonic. YUM. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow. I know I certainly won’t blow it out like I hear of others doing. Geez. Why would you want to go and undo all of your hard work the previous week with an entire day of eating crap?? Besides, I did it once and felt really sick the next day from it. I think I’ll count that as a lesson learned.
I can’t believe I’m finished with week 3 already. The time has really flown by. Only one more week until I take new measurements and pics!! (I measured my waist yesterday for grins and was down 3 and some change inches! In only 3 weeks!) This makes me want to kick it into really high gear next week to see how much I can accomplish before the end of week 4.
As far as C25K training goes I’m going to stick with week 1 for another week. Why? Because by the end of the 7th interval I’m ready to die and have to force myself to finish. Week two the intervals get LONGER and I don’t quite think I’m ready for that. As a matter of fact I think I’ll take the entire 9 week program and double the weeks up. Two weeks on week one, two weeks on week 2, etc. This way I don’t burn out and I have a better chance of actually completing the program.
So…without further ado…I’m off to work on the house and maybe float my achy legs in the pool for a bit. I’ll be back on Monday to update again!!
