Butterscotch Bliss
Following the Body For Life Eating Program has taught me two things. (well actually more than that but I’ll only discuss two of them here.
1. You CAN eat more food and not be hungry and STILL lose weight.
2. Diet food DOES NOT have to be bland and boring.
Case in point…this recipe I’m sharing here. I made this for the first time last night. Let me say that when I actually read the recipe in the cookbook it didn’t really sound all that appetizing to me at all, but I NEEDED something sweet and I had everything I needed on hand to make it.
Let me tell you right now. This stuff is AWESOME! If you like butterscotch(who DOESN’T like butterscotch?) this is the absolute best way to kill a sweet tooth craving.
Butterscotch Bliss
Serves 2
1 cup cold skim milk( I used Horizon Organic)
1 serving Vanilla Protein Powder. (Whatever you like best. I use Jay Robb Vanilla Egg White Protein Powder because it’s non GMO and has no artificial stuff in it)
2 Tablespoons of Fat free, Sugar Free, butterscotch instant pudding mix.
2/3 cup of cool whip fat free
Pour skim milk in a blender(or magic bullet). Then add protein powder, and blend for about 15 seconds.
Add pudding mix and blend until thick and creamy. 45 seconds to a minute. (be sure to scrape down sides if needed)
Line two dessert bowls with the fat free cool whip and fill the center of each with half of the pudding mixture. Chill for at least 20 minutes(if you can wait that long..I couldn’t)
Serve and Enjoy!!
